Unveiling of Signage boards

The Morija Museum & Archives in collaboration with Alliance Française, VODACOM, The French Institute in South Africa, and Smartloti, will launch signage boards all around Morija to inform the public about the history of the village.

This is part of a wider project to develop a smartphone augmented reality app that will guide people to these heritage sites and provide information about them.

International Refugee Day Film Screening

At Cafe What? this Thursday the 11th of July at 17h30, the Alliance Française de Maseru and Cafe What? are happy to join in on the commemoration of  WORLD Refugee Day. We will observe this day by screening a film titled Alda and Maria. 

ABOUT THE FILM
Lisbon, summer 1980. Two sisters, aged 16 and 17, arrive from Angola, fleeing the civil war. Alda and Maria will have to learn how to survive on their own, without money, in the grey and polluted suburb of this foreign city.

Express Yourself! Exhibition Opening – Friday 5th July, 15H00

Participatory Initiative for Social Accountability, PISA, in collaboration with Alliance Française de Maseru invites you to the Exhibition Opening of “Express Yourself!”

The exhibition will show case the thoughts of the people who participated in “Express Yourself!” workshops since 2017-2019.

“Express Yourself!” gives the citizens an opportunity to experience art in a workshop facilitated by a professional artist.

Voguing Dance Workshop

Alliance Française de Maseru in partnership with American International School of Lesotho invites amateur dancers, professional and instructors to a free workshop at Maseru Club on the 20th to the 21st June from 10H00 – 16H00.

The workshop will be facilitated by French dancer Lasseindra Ninja. Voguing dance style is inspired by the famous model poses of Vogue magazine.
